They are honest and diligent in satisfying the customer. I had an "Engine Light On" w/sputtering and bucking as I tried to drive it. Here is the funny (Strange)part of the story. I went to the Dealer (TROPICAL FORD) with this problem and was told BOLDLY - TROPICAL FORD DOES NOT WORK ON CARS/TRUCK WITH OVER 100,000 MILES AND "ENGINE LIGHT ON"!!!! So I took it to Clark Tire & Automotive, who fixed the problem. They thought it was fixed intially, but a few days of driven proved that they still did not fix it. I took my Ford Explorer back and they WITHOUT hesitation fixed the problem. Point I want to make is that IF TROPICAL FORD (A FORD DEALER) REFUSES TO FIX THEIR LINE OF CAR/TRUCKS WITH OVER 100,000 MILES, why are they still in business? I advise agaist using TROPICAL FORD. I did contact a Ford employee and he said it is not a FORD policy what TROPICAL FORD did. And if TROPICAL FORD where located in Michigan, they (TROPICAL FORD) would be SHUT-DOWN!!! Clark Tire & Automotive will treat you right.

This is a terrific family-owned business. I found them here on the Car Talk website (where else?) where they were highly rated (so they had BETTER be good, Click & Clack!), and I found them to be very deserving of that honor (you guys are my heroes!). Not only do they do excellent work, not only are the prices right, but they are the epitome of "service with a smile." Owner Terry is terrific, very personable, very knowledgeable, and only charges for what's necessary -- as a matter of fact, I got out of there for less than they had quoted. In my particular situation, I needed my timing belt replaced (normal 60,000 mile interval replacement), and every other shop I got a quote from said that I had to get the water pump replaced at the same time and quoted me as such. Terry said that I MAY need it replaced and that they absolutely wouldn't do so if it didn't need it. It didn't, and I saved $150. So you're looking for one of the honest auto shops out there? Car Talk fans have been telling this is one of those, and now I am too!

These folks are great! I've taken all three cars in for service within the last 12 months. In each case, I was given an honest appraisal and a good price. When repairs were needed, they were done expertly. More importantly, when repairs were not needed, they were honest and candid about the car. I highly recommend these guys.

My motor mounts needed replacing, and they did it for a couple of hundred dollars less than the local Buick Dealer wanted.

I selected this shop from the reviews and easy access on West Colonial. I asked to get a coolant flush, oil change and tires balanced. They said that it would be ready by 1:30 and they finished and called me at 1:00. I told them that I hope that fixes the air conditioning problem because the car was over heating and cutting off the air. They told me that they would take it for a test drive and make sure there was no other issues. He said "don't want you having a problem driving home from the shop." That fixed the air conditioning problem, car is running well, no major vibration at 70mph. I will go back again for my next service work. Thanks

I noticed antifreeze leak. I checked my hoses they were OK, but it looked like it was dripping from the middle of the radiator. I took the car to Clarke Tire the next morning without calling. They looked at it that morning and called that I needed a new radiator and fan belt. By 2pm that same day the car was ready. When I got there to pick it up the agent at the desk asked if I could wait a few minutes as they noticed there was a nail in one of the tires, and they fixed it for free. I checked on the WEB for the cost of a radiator and it ran from $100 to $140. Clark Tire charged me $120 for the radiator. The labour was $130 for the radiatior and the belt. Car is running great. Good job, Good customer service, and Good value.

I tried Clark's for the first time today, based on previous reviews, and was not disappointed. They carried out a regular service: Oil change, filter change etc plus a 24 point inspection at a very reasonable price, they even accepted an out of date coupon off their website for a $5 discount. Whilst there, I mentioned a few niggles like a blocked washer jet, and a sticking door check, These took around 1/2 hour to fix and no charge was made - great service!

They have been servicing my car for a little over 5 years now, everything from oil changes to tune ups to ball joints. Good people, professional attitude and very helpful. Only place I go these days.

A/C was not working and I obviously had a freon leak. They replaced my A/C condenser and some a/c drier parts. They did it in about 3 hours. Another shop in town (one that has a call-in radio show) said they needed call 1 full day and wanted more than $1,000 for this work. Clark's did it for less than half of that price. They also gave me a ride to my office and then picked me up when the work was done. I am glad I went to them for a second opinion.
