love you guys. i am misplaced bostonian woman of 62...know a little about cars and i have a lot of street smarts to know if i'm getting ripped off or not. it's shell gas station as i have an aversion to car dealer shops. the last thing i had done on my car was to fix the ac...when i went into the cruddy little office full of grease to pay my bill i said to the steve and jeff and some other guy (looked like a boss) "hey, do you guys listen to npr?" one says " i try not to" the says "yeah, every saturday, i love that show." i said " that's great, i never miss it..did you know they have a site and you can enter your favorite mechanics?" "we didn't know that" i said, "i think you guys are great and so i put your name in and so now a lot of people will know how much i appriciate you" "thats great and thanks" and they took $20 bucks off my bill. well, here's the kicker....i lied...i had been meaning to do it but just never got around to it, and by lowering my bill, i am now feeling guilty at 5a.m. so i jumped on the comp. to ease my concious.. these guys are so honest and good, i'm thrilled to have them as my mechanics. karen
