About 15 or 20 years ago I moved to Pompano Beach and met Bruce through a colleague and fellow VW owner. Bruce met several of my criteria -- he listened to me and made sure he understood the problem as I saw it. He was analytical in his approach to repair -- he went after the cause of the problem instead of simply correcting the problem itself. And he was always honest and forthcoming about what might be required to repair the car properly. Thanks in large part to Bruce, I put about a hundred thousand miles on my '80 VW beetle (yes, he DOES understand the OLD beetle as well as the water-cooled models) and a quarter of a million miles on a couple of Sciroccos. He also is knowledgable about other makes -- "nuts and bolts", he says, and still works some on my Acura Integra, which I had to switch to since VW stopped making the Scirocco.

I called Bruce to work on a 2000 Passat, he only works on air-cooled VWs. He recommend a great shop, Lewis Foreign Car Service, Inc. for which I have submitted a review. JJK

Bruce runs one of the cleanest shops I've ever seen. His knowledge of Air-Cooled VW's is over the top. He just opened a full parts store which is as nice as the shop, and it's stocked very well. He can order anything you need, if it's not in the store from all the major suppliers.
