Located near the intersection of Michitgan and Orange Avenue at 81 W. Jersey Street. Leaving my car overnight inside their fence is okay, but they've had a few break- in's of cars waiting overnight to be picked up outside the fence. The neighborhood is very safe during the day. If Owen, the owner and father of this family owned busieness told me that I had to howl at the moon for an effective repair I would do it. He has never lied to me and has often saved me money by giving me all the options to my repairs. Example: I had difficulty shifting my manual transmission in cold weather. He told me to change the weight of my motor oil. It worked! Several other Jiffy-Lube-type mechanics said it didn't make sense to them but it worked like a charm. When I did have a comlpicated / well hidden electrical problem they kept apologizing and offered several options to make it right; including not charging me their extra labor to figure out the probelm. Treatment of women: My (male) partner and I have compared notes, looking for the usual sexism but have not found it. Our experiences are amazingly similar. They were sympathetic to our financial situations when one of us was out of work. They take the time to ask me questions and answer my questions fully, respectfully. They are noticeably absent of the usual sneer I receive as a woman at other places. They *are not* a quick-stop kind of mechanic. They are busy so I usually have to plan that my car will be with them for a whole day. They close at 5:30 pm so it is sometimes a rush to get there in time, but because of their convenient location, it usually works out well. They are closed saturday's and Sundays. They do take appointments.

Being new to town, it was important to find a mechanic who was reliable. But, we never expected to find what we found. This family-owned business is made up of the kindest, most considerate people we've met in a long time. In four years, we've never felt "taken" by them, and we've always thought they were being incredibly fair and honest. We've even been able to say, "I can't spend much right now," and instead of making us feel like schmucks, they would fix what they could to keep us running within our budget. We would recommend C&H Garage to anyone & everyone!!!

Although I have to drive about 15 miles, it is the only
garage I would use. My first experience was unusual.
While my car was sitting in the lot waiting to be worked
on a tow truck arrived and dropped a car on my rear
bumber. Jeff and Scott made sure the tow truck company
took car of me and said if they didn't their insurance
would. They fixed my car for the original problem and
priced it fairly. They thought they would never see me
again. Wrong!
They do a great job, fair, and honest. They rebuilt my
son's engine and I have used them for my car's Doctor's
consistantly. I highly recommend them, but I hope they
will still have time for my car if they get too big.

I found out about Owen from the MechanX Files. They were highly rated and not far from my house so I decided to give them a try. I am always skeptical about repair shops, regardless of the endorsements they get. I was, and continue to be, very pleased with the quality of service that Owen and his staff provide. They only do what is necessary and they find the most cost effective way to get me back on the road. More importantly, they know their limitations and do not do work that they don't believe they are qualified to do (e.g., transmissions). I highly and without qualification recommend C&H Garage to anyone in the South Orlando area.

Jeff and Scott are the most honest and reliable mechanics I
have ever dealt with. I take my car to them every 6 months
and jsut tell them to fix anything that needs fixing. I am
alwasy ssurprised to get a bill lower than I had expected.
One time Jeff even came out and met my sister and myself to
check out an RV that my sister was thinking of buying.
they are great.

I really hate to give them a good review because then
they'll be too busy to get my cars in!
They have always stood by their work, even several months
later and they have always been fair. The only problem is
the more busy they get, the more time it takes to get the
car fixed!
Great guys and a great garage! I can always trust them.

Very friendly. Just as all of the other reviewers, I had a
great experience and recommend them highly.

C&H have been working on our cars for more than 10 years. They are honest,
reliable, and conscientious. We have recently moved from the Orlando area, and
I am so sad to not be able to use these mechanics any more. They are top-
notch. I couldn't answer the question, "They respond well when they screw
something up" because I can't recall them ever messing up one of our vehicles.
They do top-quality work and will always find the most reasonably-priced way
to fix a problem. I will miss them dearly!

We checked out this garage due to the recommendations here.
We have a 2004 Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter van. Not everyone
will work on them. We recently bought the van used and our
other cars have all been under warranty, so even though
we've lived in the area for many years we didn't have a
local repair shop.
Our serpentine belt broke and we needed a shop asap. They
were able to get it in the shop by 11am and finish the job
by 4. They also checked the oil and recommended a oil
change. We had them do that with confidence, because even
though they haven't worked on vans like our very much, they
knew enough that the Mercedes diesel engine needed a
specific oil. Expensive, but it keeps the engine running
happily along for 300,000 or more miles.
They were very friendly and helpful. When a ride from the
home was requested, they provided it. We live only a couple
miles from them.
While we hope we won't need them much, we're happy we found
a good mechanic on our first try. Thanks to the comments
here for that. Try them, you'll like them.
