I purchased a 2001 VW Jetta wagon in Illinois a couple years
back. The car runs great and gets me from point A to point
B; it was affordable and had low mileage. I drove the
vehicle from IL to Florida and had no problems, but after a
couple months of being in Florida, I started to notice lots
of clanking sounds when I turned corners and hit bumps.
When I brought my vehicle in to Blue Ribbon, the guys were
honest with me and said that I should probably start
shopping for a new car. The undercarriage was extremely
rusty and the struts were about ready to crumble. The
exhaust system had holes in it and there was an oil leak.
Basically, I unknowingly bought a lemon.
I was unable to afford a new vehicle at the time, so George
helped me prioritize, and we fixed the things that were most
important first (struts, oil leak). George recommended a
website where I could find cheap parts, and I ended up
finding 2 entire strut assemblies for $75 each with free
shipping, and they installed them for $100! They found the
source of the oil leak and fixed that as well. They did a
lot of work on my car for very little and took very good
care of me.
I would highly recommend Blue Ribbon Automotive to anyone in
the area!
