Dave's is a small shop. I met him when he was manager of
the Penske's at the Key West KMart. What impressed me
there was that he was very honest and competent. If
something didn't have to be fixed right away - he didn't do
it. He'd tell me - you can get a few thousand more miles
out of these tires - don't buy new ones yet. In a place
like Key West, where everything is so expensive, it was
really helpful to have good advice on the car. Made it
easier to budget. Another thing - we were a close knit
group of friends there, and when Dave got his own shop, all
of us, and our other friends too, went to his new shop on
Duval. I don't think Dave ever lost a friend over car
repair (golf games, maybe - no just kidding). It's that
honesty thing. I worked on the Navy base and would always
recommend him to the sailors - they were always new in town
see, and got ripped off a lot. No one ever complained about
being ripped off from Dave - he just doesn't do it. He's a
good mechanic, tell him Susie sent you!
