This was my first experience based on the Car Talk survey. I called in advance to pencil in a service appointment. When I called back to confirm the appointment, John Klinkenberg (the owner) readily remembered me and the issues I had with my car. The work was done on a timely basis. One problem I asked to be checked ended up resulting from some work I had done at another establishment. When John called to confirm the estimate, I said I wanted to take it back to the other establishment to have it corrected under their warranty. It turned out that Crossroads had already fixed the problem. They credited me the cost of that repair. On the other hand, one problem I had asked to have checked would have cost a lot of money, but John informed me that it was not necessary at this time and that I could put it off. Everything on my bill was explained in detail. I cannot remember a more comformtable experience with a car repair facility. I will definitely be going back.

I have always been satisfied with Crossroads Automotive. They have been honest when they could have easily taken me for a ride. They carefully explain all options and ensure you are fully informed. Several times they have gone above and beyond what I would expect from a mechanic, and then, best of all, charged me a very reasonable rate for the work!

I first went to them b/c I'd been having a problem with my car that neither the dealer nor other shops couldn't diagnose (but happily charged me lots of money to try and fix). They fixed it, reasonably, and I've been going to them ever since. They have had lots of chances to take me to the cleaners but have never upsold me or done unneccessary repairs. Once, I had some leaks that required pulling the engine to fix, but I'd been laid off...they told me it wasn't urgent, we'd keep a close watch on the fluid levels and then when I got another job they'd do the big repair for about $1200 (if memory serves). On an unrelated matter that they don't work on(cruise control), I had to go to the dealer around the same time. The dealer rep told me my engine was going to blow up if I didn't get the leaks fixed right away and that it would cost $3500! They are also really nice guys. I recommend them to everyone.

John Klinkenberg (Owner) and his crew started servicing my '92 Buick LeSabre when they first opened shop and I had around 60K. I finally gave the car away when the air conditioner failed (... an absolute necessity in FL !)and they told me I'd be investing over a grand to repair it. BUT... by then the car had over 206,000 miles on it, and the engine was perfect, thanks to Crossroads Automotive.

These guys have been working on my cars for a number of years and have always done a stellar job. They were recommended by a friend who is very mechanically-savvy himself, and they have never disappointed. They are also really nice, never talk down to me (as so many mechanics do to women), and I have grown to trust them implicitly. For example, when my wallet is thin, they will tell me if something is really urgent or can wait. It's like having a mechanic for a brother or something... I had a new car for a while and really missed seeing them!
