On several occasions I have taken in a car; I thought something was wrong, and have been relieved to learn that Bell's fixed the problem for FREE or they would explain why the noise was not a problem. On other occasions when other mechanics have tried to sell me on thousand dollar repairs, Bell's would fix it for a fraction of the other mechanics estimate.

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I made my living as an auto mechanic for several years (something the staff wasn't aware of) and they proved to be honest, hard working people. All my questions were answered fully and completely. The staff took time to answer my questions until THEY were convinced I understood what they were talking about.

I took my 2003 VW Passat wagon in because I heard an odd
squeal when I turned the steering wheel to the left. I
thought maybe there was a problem with the power steering
and it may have been very unsafe. The guys looked at it,
and said the only thing it could be was the serpentine
belt, which I told them had just been replaced at the local
VW dealership's shop. The Bell's guys didn't charge me a
penny and said the noise is not related to a safety issue,
and I could try making the VW guys reinstall it, but that
he could not find anything wrong. All the mechanics at
Bell's were as nice as could be and the shop was the
cleanest I have ever seen. I will definitely go back, I
have a VW after all.

The one time I had an issue with their repair work I took
it back and they immediately corrected the situation with
no problems or additional cost. I am biased only in that
I've been a repeat customer and always been treated well.
Their estimates have been lower than other places and the
final cost was usually even lower than the estimate.
They've explain the work that needed to be done then
either given me a ride home or, now that I live further
away, let me sit comfortably in the waiting room as long
as necessary.
If your looking for fancy accomodations you might want to
go somewhere else. If you want real down to earth men
working on your car, this is the place. I wish everyone
had the work ethic these guys do.

I've been going to Bell's for years (8 maybe?), since before Darren bought the shop from the prior owners. They are exacltly what I'm looking for...honest, knowledgeable and fair. I checked their prices early on and always found them to be fairly priced, lower than others. I have recommended many friends and co-workers, all of whom still go to Bell's. I like that I can go in, or have my wife go in, and they will treat us fairly. They will tell us when something is close to needing replacement/repair instead of making like we have to get it done that day. I don't have the time or interest to chase behind a mechanic, always wondering where they might be cheating me. With the Bell's team (Darren and Tim in the front or the mechanics in the shop), I feel like we are in a partnership to keep the cars up and running.
