Frank and his crew are the most competent mechanics I have ever used and I've been driving since 1956. They keep the place spotless and are courteous and friendly.

This is a very special auto repair shop. They keep the place very clean and Frank and his mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly. They do the job right, the first time and let you know of anything that might be about to cause a problem and prioritise their importance, if there are any.

I was on this site looking for someone to work on my Ford Explorer in Tallahassee and thought I'd comment for the benefit of someone looking for a great mechanic in Gainesville. Even though my family and I moved to Tallahassee two years ago, I still make the trip down to have my Mercedes serviced by Frank and the crew. Throughout the community, Frank's reputation is impeccable and his shop is the benchmark; they're honest and they know their craft. I don't hesitate to take their advice on any repair or preventative maintenance they suggest. It's a good feeling to have a ten year old Mercedes running like a top because it's serviced regularly at Star Import Service.

We own three Mercedes, one 1982 and two 1991s. and only recently have we discovered Star Imports in Gainesville, Florida. For the first time since 1982, we have found competent, thorough, and trustworthy mechanics. This cannot be said for all of our other auto repair experiences, including those at Mercedes dealerships, which have been some of the worst. We highly recommend Frank, Rick, and Josh as first-rate mechanics who get the job done right the first time and on time. We have found them to be courteous and helpful.
