These guys are friendly, dependable and honest. I started taking my cars to Sal in 1982 when he had one mechanic besides himself and worked out of a 2-bay gas station near I-75. Now he has a whole staff of mechanics and a modern, 6-station service garage. His facility services all makes of cars, doing engine work, air conditioning service, brakes, exhaust system work and general troubleshooting.

I have taken our cars to them since the original owner and founder (Sal) opened his shop in Gainesville in the 1980s, and I have continued to take our cars there after Sal passed away and the new owners have continued the business. They always have been accomodating and helpful, as well as competent and reasonble.

When dealer of our Oldsmobile declared A/C compressor dead and wanted to replace for $600+ took to Sal's (recommended by a friend) who fixed & recharged A/C for MUCH LESS MONEY. Mechanic was patient with non-car guy (me) & explaned everything. Cold air again in Florida! Another time saved me buying a new starter on Honda Accord (my diagnosis)when it turned out I had a faulty battery (Ric at Sal's diagnosis). This was done via phone, saving me towing charges & he did not even get the battery sale as I went to Sears, purchased it & intalled it myself at home. THAT'S customer service! I started using Sal's several years ago because the company I work for has its fleet vehicles serviced there. I've never had any complaints with them. They are fast and reliable.
