While in Gainesville, we have interacted wtih Mike and Rudy numerous times over five years. They have always shown great patience and honesty repairing our 1984 Vanogon and 1986 Mazda and saved us a bundle many times. For instance, a certain shop quoted us $800 for replacing struts, complete brake job, CV joint replacements, and then tried to sell us a loan for the Mazda repairs. In reality only the rear brakes needed replacement; the front brakes and CV joints were fine and the struts were acceptable. The repairs at Archer Road Auto cost a fraction of the original estimate. Mike and Rudy could've charged us more but didn't take advantage of us. Its a great place for students to get work done on their car. They take the time to explain the work in friendly, easy to understand language. Good people.

I really recommend this shop. I took my Ford there many times and always felt they were very honest and never trying to mess with me. They always took the time to explain everything they were doing.

Evening before New Year eve and my Transport blew a brake line(again). I'm in Gainsville FL and I have to be back in MI on Jan 3rd. I found these folks on this website, called them, limped in at 9:00AM and I picked it up at 2:00PM (remember this is New Year's Eve). They also fixed the oil pressure sending unit and changed the oil for $175.00!!! Kudos to these folks. Van is still running
