These guys are amazing! They've checked out cars I've looked to buy, and stopped me from buying a complete lemon. This lady had bought a Saab 900 a month before, thinking her boyfriend could teach her to drive stick, but for some reason (to be figured out later) she couldn't figure it out. She swore up and down that her father and boyfriend, mechanics, had looked the car over and out and bought her a safe and reliable vehicle. I had to battle with her to let me take it to a mechanic for a look over, because she was "afraid he'd break something that wasn't broken." Well, turns out that the engine mounts were all broken, so that the engine was moving around in the car while driving it! No wonder she couldn't learn stick--the clutch plate couldn't make contact with the engine! The brakes were shot, the windshield about to fall off, leaky trunk, etc. $1200 estimate for repairs!!! Needless to say, I didn't take the car, but Wilson and the guys at Mt. Pleasant Auto were amazing about it. They take time to explain everything to me, not treating me like I don't know anything, but just being thorough and straightforward. They're prices are increidbly reasonable, and ALL REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED IN ONE DAY!!! You drop your car off in the morning, take the bus to work, and pick it up at the end of the day! They only take what they know they can work on, but I've never been turned away and I've never known them to not fix it right, the first time, in a day. Everyone in my office who lives in the area, and some out of towners too, uses them and says the same thing. They're awesome mechanics!

Took my 2000 Honda Civic to these guys and they fixed me right up. My car was having problems starting and staying started, it would die everytime i put my foot on the gas. These guy searched through the whole car filters, pumps, everything and found out that it was a malfunction in my main relay. They fixed the problem and as a bonus they fixed my vibrating A/C for free!!! I had taken the car to the Honda dealership and paid them to fix the A/C and they could not fix the vibrating A/C but these guys did!!! Also i love how this shop is people trying to make an honest living, not a corporate shop where they treat you like a fool.

I took my car in for a regular oil change here and they were very courteous and friendly, charged a fair price, and completed the work in the time they said they would - 1 hour.

I decided to call this auto shop after reading the other reviews. I live in Adams Morgan and really wanted a shop in the area. I called to see if they would work on my Subaru and they said to bring the car by the next day. They had it done the same day and charged me a very fair price. Wilson and his crew were courteous, professional, and timely.

My 95 Honda Civic was making awful metallic rumbling sounds so I took it into Mt. Pleasant Auto. They diagnosed the problem (loose exhaust plate), did the necessary repairs, and I was driving away within 2 hours! Of course the repair was simple, but man, were they fast. Overall my experience was better than I could have imagined. Fast service, very friendly and competent employees, reasonable prices... what more can you ask for?!

They have been a wonderful part of the neighborhood. They work with my time needs wherever possible. When they say the car will be done - it is always done. It is nice to be able to walk home from dropping the car off or to a nearby zip car or taking the metro or bus. Incredibly convenient and competent.

I just needed a brakes job. They did good work, quickly and for a reasonable price. Nice and easy. They didn't even chastise me for the condition of the brakes when I brought it in. Good experience all together.

Had my car in there this summer by this website recommendation. Fixed my radiator. Right before christmas my car started acting up again. Transmission fluid was creamy. By searching i found that this was probably due to a problem with the rediator. Called this shop because they had just replaced my radiator. First they went ahead and fixed it without calling my to tell me what was wrong or how much it would cost!!! It was the radiator and said they would just charge me labor since they had just replaced it. Not sure why i should pay the labor again, but i let it go. Well guess what drove my car for a bit same problem. Called them back to the shop!!! Told me there was still some old fluid in there and is ready. Asked if they test drove it this time and was told yes it is running fine!! So picked up today and guess what...still not running right!!! Called and spoke with the owner. He told me no the transmission fluid just looks milky. Then told him that my car does not drive right and he said yeah you have to push on the gas real hard to get it to go. Told him once again I have paid them to get my car to run right!! So now he is supposed to be coming in a couple of hours to check it with me! Who knows what will happen but i will never take my car back there again!! I am supposed to be moving i keep putting it on hold because they cant seem to fix my car!!!
