As the proud ownwer of a 1979 Volvo 240 Wagon, I have understandably needed someone to keep me and my car on the road, from time to time. Dr. Don has always been there for me. I was encouraged by his years of experience working for Volvo of Stamford, Ct., one of the biggest dealerships in a Volvo crazy state. Don knows that I need my car for work and that I am willing to do whatever it takes to keep it happy and healthy, yet I have never felt that he has done any unnessesary work. He explaines everything very clearly beforehand. I always follow his advice with no regrets. I truely believe that Don takes pride in my old car still running so well, as I do. Besides, he is re

i am the owner of a 1990 volvo 240. don and rick have always been great. i feel every time i go in for service my volvo is treated very good. there work is "right on" i mean every time. i recently had my volvo to the dealer because i had been traveling out of town and the engine kept cutting out. well you know the story, dealer couln't fix it. when i got back into town my volvo went to don. 2 hours later problem was fixed. bad crank sensor. anyway if you own any car and i mean any car give em a try, they are good.thanks again don and rick.

Simply, Dr. Don runs the most competant, fair, honest, and helpful shop we've ever encountered. The best! Lynne & Doug Vogt

I had been told by a Volvo dealership that I need a new transmission - - they told me I should just replace my car...that's not wanted I wanted to hear. I am a used car junkie all the way. I went on the car talk website, looked up volvo repairs and learned of Dr. Don. My favorite mechanic to date. He is thorough, honest, realistic and all in favor of used cars and maintaining them. Don and his staff are the best!

We have a 1994 855 with over 180000 miles on it. The service from our local dealer has always been spotty, and their attitude something to be desired. A friend told us about Don. He has fixed (on the first try) problems which the dealer couldn't fix after multiple attempts. He, very honestly and thoroughly, assesses issues and goes over them with you before starting any work. And, he will give you advice when to do things and when not to. When we bought a new Volvo this past summer, we were going to sell the 855. But with all of Don's care, we decided to keep it since it runs so well and we know we can keep it that way with Don's expertise. PS - we also take our Buick to Don as well.
