My wife's family has brought their cars here forever. Tony (the garage manager) is very honest, even with people completely ignorant of how a car works. They've always completed the cars by the time promised, and often much earlier. They managed to resurrect my wife's Volvo 240 twice, once from being totaled in a collision. They have also done quite a few repairs on her BMW 328is, at a fraction of the cost of a BMW dealer. They're willing to let you try doing it your way instead of railroading you into something you don't need (nice if you know what's wrong but don't have time to do it yourself). They don't charge out the wazoo for parts, and the labor charges aren't too bad either. They are right next to Marc Automotive (reviewed elsewhere here), and you won't find two more honest shops so close together anywhere. Plus you can buy full serve gas here for not much of a premium - try finding that anywhere else in the area! The only things they don't do are body work, and Connecticut emissions testing and exemption repairs; they will gladly refer you to reliable people for this, and usually call ahead to let them know you are coming. This kind of garage is a rare find - like a throwback to the 50's!
