I started using A & P Auto 7 years ago when I moved to Connecticut and I believe that the technicians are the best in the state! I had a '98 Civic that had the "check-engine" light on. I took it to dealerships and mechanics in MA and NH when I lived in MA and no one could figure out the problem. I moved to CT and took it to the nearest shop, which luckily for me was A & P. THey not only identified the problem on the first try but were able to make the repair. They even informed me of a recall on the mechanism on the power-door locks which mysteriously would continue to lock the door unpredictably. They are also great on European cars. I purchased a used 2002 Volvo S80. The car would stall and stop unexpectedly, the local dealership which soaked me for over $5k could not figure out the problem. I took it to A & P and they diagnosed the problem that was going to cost me $1,200. I got rid of the car because I was tired of the hassle. A week later I get a letter stating that there was a class action law suit against Volvo (and the dealerships) for concealing a transmission problem. The same one that A & P had diagnosed!
