John Lear and his helper Peter are consistently knowledgeable, friendly, honest, available, and deliver. My 1997 9000 Saab has required multiple repairs and replacements that they have always immediately and correctly diagnosed and fixed. With 40 years of car ownership and experience with many repair shops and dealers, I have found Swedish Performance to be unsurpassed. If you have a problem with a Saab, this is the place to go.

Owner John Lear was for years a SaabUSA representative. Since leaving the factory to join a dealer organization, he has for years competed in Saab's annual technical compettition to determine the top-ranked master technicians in the country. For the last several years he has ranked among the very top echelon (I think # 5, but not certain). He knows Saabs better than anyone I've ever run into. More important, he matches that knowledge with honesty and integrity. Any time there's been a repair made to my 1988 900 (with 265,000 miles on it), John telephones to ask if all is well and if I am satisfied. Once, I was not: the botlts on a thermostat housing seemed loose. John invited me to return. He "helicoiled) the bolts, snugged them to factory specs, and charged me not a penny more. Go beat that! He characterizes his service policy as "Affordable Excellence." In my experience with him over more than three years, that's exactly what he delivers.

John Lear was incredibly patient in answering all my questions about the major repairs needed on my car. He fixed an additional problem found during the repairs at greatly reduced cost. The total price was very reasonable, and the repairs were performed expertly and on time.

I have had my older Saab repaired by John and always had good results. Since I bought my Volvo, I have not been as satisfied. I have had a few problems that needed multiple visits after my car was supposed to be fixed with additional bills. I do not know if it's the lack of experience with Volvos or volume of repairs at their new location.
