Welcome to the...

All-New 2012 Model of the Car Talk Website!

For the last several years, we've been compiling your requests (and complaints), and rebuilding our trusty old website, cartalk.com. As a fan, we want you to be the first to know that we're finally rolling it out of the garage.

What's new? Quite a number of new upgrades and accoutrements, if we do say so ourselves:

The new site is faster, easier to read, and better organized.

You'll always be able to find the newest, freshest Car Talk content right on the home page, and there's now an "Editors’ Picks" section for when you want help killing time.
Every article, feature, and story will allow comments from you, too.

The most viewed, shared, and commented stories and features will be immediately visible from our home page -- and all will be easily shareable with other Car Talk fans.

Our popular Mechanics Files database of garage reviews has been rebuilt from the chassis up and now features improved mapping.

With a single registration for the entire site, you'll be able to comment on an article, post a question in our busy Car Talk Community, sign up for newsletters, and even receive regular updates whenever your car is mentioned in a discussion. Cool -- or what? We think so!
Of course, without a doubt, we will have a left a bolt or two loose -- or a wheel off.  So, we're asking our fans to poke around and let us know what works and what doesn't.  And tell us what further improvements you'd like to see.

Our fondest hope is that it's just as reliable as our old beater.  But easier for you to navigate, easier for us to highlight stuff that we don't want you to miss, and even a little bit more useful.

Ready to take it for a test drive? Excellent! When you pull in for a pit stop, be sure to let us know what you think, won't you?

Yours in enjoying the new wheels,

Tom and Ray Magliozzi
