As an immigrant to the US Car Talk (and Tom in particular)taught me everything I need to know about the American psyche (we may speak the same language in the UK but you guys are weird). My condolences to all near and dear to Tom which includes many many NPR listeners :(

Condolences to the Magliozzi family on the loss of Tom. I got to the party too late. I only started listening after the guys were retired but I'll listen as long as the shows are available, because of the laughter... mine and theirs! R.I.P., Tom M.

I am heartbroken to hear of Tom's passing. Car Talk provided my family with many many belly laughs over the years; it hurts to think that half of "Click and Clack" is gone from the world. I listened to the show with my dad when he was alive, I still listen with my own son. I am glad to hear that in Tom's memory Car Talk repeats will still be aired. The laughter will be a little more poignant, but it will still be full of joy. But just think - Tommy can now drive any way he wants!

So sad to hear the news! Tuning into the show instantly makes my day better! I will listen now with not just humor and anticipation, but with reverence. Click and Clack kept it real!

Shocked to hear of Tom's passing. Car Talk is an integral part of my week. Many a Saturday afternoon was enjoyed listening to the boys using my wireless headphones. I'm sure many passersby wondered what this lunatic found so funny about washing the car or doing yardwork.
Tom leaves behind a long trail of education and laughter, that is a legacy we can all aspire to emulate.
Thanks.

Ray, I am saddened to hear about Tom's passing. Although I never met him, Tom (and Ray) felt like a part of the family. . . the side of the family I actually like. The world could use more of Tom and Ray!

I grew up listening to Car Talk in the car with my parents. It was an integral part of weekend drives and always made me feel happy. I can't believe Tom is gone. Thanks for all the laughs.

I am so so sad to learn of Tom's passing. I've been listening to Tom and Ray for the last 20 years of my life. I will miss his wonderful laugh and his great humor. We were all to fortunate that we were able to get to know him through the radio each week. Best wishes and warm thoughts to him family. I know Ray will miss him very much.

Tom and Ray brought incalculable joy to me and my family. I'm very sad to hear of his death.
Many thanks for all of the laughs and information. I'll be sure to make a memorial trek to the Alamo. If I can find it.
