Ed was factory trained on Subarus (he used to work for a dealer) and opened his own shop with his wife, Pam, when the dealer closed. Ed and Pam go out of their way to ensure that repairs are done right; I'm on my second Subaru in 15 years of driving (these cars are *tough*), and have been going to ISR for repairs for at least 8 years. An example of their service: My 92 Legacy had a pinging that only occurred under very specific circumstances -- when the car had been running, was stopped for 10-30 minutes, and then started again. The pinging would be really bad for about 10-15 minutes, and then go away. Since they'd never seen the problem before, Ed and Pam dug into four years of Subaru shop bulletins until they found the solution, which entailed adding a new memory chip to the engine control unit. They also gave me a lot of good advice about what to look for in a used Legacy when I was shopping in 1996, even though I ended up buying it elsewhere (they sell a small quantity of used Subarus). I recommend ISR highly to any Subaru owner.
