Clay Hansard is as honest as the day is long. He will advise you if you really need something done or if it can wait....that type of honesty is his hallmark. He was the litmus test for a Dallas criminal investigation in the 80's on local car shops that were believed to be crooked...the district attorney used Clay's expert testimony to file charges on many of those dishonest shops. He only works on American-made cars, but won't hesitate to make referrals to those shops that can help you (and that he trusts) if you have a Euro or Asian car.

1986 Tahoe with under 90000 miles wouldn't start for 3 mornings. After new battery, alternator, etc. a second shop found a burned out fuse but not until a friend suggested what it was. $500 later the fuse was replaced and the car was fine. Diagnostic services seem to be non- existant with most repair shop--replace parts is the main objective.

I have gotten to know Clay Hansard, the owner, through his work on my cars. He is a straightforward man whom I believe to be totally honest.

I have known Clay for .. 40 years?! he worked on my mom's car when I was young. Its a funny little shop - not glamorous at all - dark - low roof with no lifts! (for which I give him great ribbing!) But he can fix a car. And Clay is as honest as the day is long. The biggest problems with Inwood Motors is that a) he closes early and b) he only works on American cars. So after my mom died, he only worked on her old station wagon until I gave it away and he wont work on my Land Cruiser or BMW. But I still talk to him every so often. I am happy to TOTALLY RECOMMEND Inwood Motors 100%!!
