This is a top-notch operation. Not the cheapest by any means, but you get what you pay for; and you don't pay twice for the same problem. No surprises, none of the "Oh, we forgot to mention..." crap you get at some places. None of the incompetent losers you see working on commission at the dealer's service departments. Everything is clear and explained. Once, when they could not have my car ready when promised they arranged for a rental car with pick-up and drop-off, even though I insisted it was my fault for bringing it in late! "A promise is a promise." they insisted. Several times they have taken me in on short notice because I was in a bind; and I know it probably backed them up elsewhere. Both my prior and current Hondas go to them, and they are a factor in what car I shop for next. When they retire, I might as well get a Renault!

I've never had a repair shop ask me when I wanted to bring a car in. Both times I called to bring in my wife's Honda for routine maintenance, they were eager to work around my schedule and get the car back to me when I needed it. The shop people seemed very competent, straight-forward and willing to talk. Last time I went in I had a question about what was included in the service after it was done and one of the managers explained it to me until I was satisfied. One thing to be aware of -- they use their own maintenance schedule on some cars. On comparison with my maintenance schedule in the car manual, theirs didn't match up exactly. I asked about it and they went through point by point and showed me that some of the things had been done in the last service instead of this service and vice versa. If you pick and choose what you do yourself and what you bring in to a shop, you will want to pay close attention to this. Otherwise, they have more than met my expectations and I'll continue to give them my business. I only wish they worked on other models too!

super shop.
They remember you.
Communicate sympathetically.
Care about your safety.

Great communication, extremely courteous. They take the
time to do a very detailed examination of the car, even on
routine maintenance jobs, something I've had a horrible
track record with dealers on. Very competent, not pushy.

They've been servicing my son's '94 Accord since we bought
it four years ago. Always with courtesy, honesty,
reliability, and on time.
What more can you ask of an automobile mechanic other than a
huge discount?

These guys are great! I have had 3 Hondas and they have
worked on all of them. They helped me sell my Accord, and I
bought a used Element from them. And when I got the
Element, had all the paperwork signed and before I drove
out of the place, they gave me a note for 50% off my next
set of tires because the ones on the car had some wear (15K
miles)and Bruce, the owner, didn't feel right about that.
I ended up putting 20K more miles on before I needed the
new tires and they were good to their word and gave me the
50% discount.
Everyone there, from the girls who run the desk, the
mechanics, Chad, Craig and Bruce are friendly, polite, and
helpful. They have a clean, comfortable waiting area for
the customers and a reasonable variety of magazines too.
And they even let me bring my dog in to wait. It's a
family run business and they treat you like part of the
family (in a good way). I always recommend them to anyone
who has a Honda, whether they are looking for a mechanic or
not.

I took my 84 Honda Civic to this shop until it was time to
get a new car, which wasn't a Honda. I so much missed having
a great mechanic who I could trust, when it was time to buy
a new car again, I bought a Honda, and then later, an Acura.
Yes, I chose which brand of car to buy based on wanting
these guys as my mechanic. I recently brought my car in for
a serious transmission problem. They told me it would be
covered by my extended warranty and to take it to the
dealer. I was certain they were wrong and argued that the
warranty had already expired. They spent half an hour of
their time on the phone researching it (at no charge), and, in
the end, insisted it would be covered at the dealer. In the
end, the dealer made the $2000 repair which was fully
covered by the warranty. Westlake Independent defines
trustworthy!
