I used to go to a shop in Arlington, and Burlington is a bit further for me, but worth the drive. I'd trust these guys first with any automotive service, and have been taking my and my fiancee's car there for about 3 years. On one occasion, they were unable to figure out the root cause of a check-engine-light issue, and didn't charge me for looking at it; a dealership later fixed the issue. Despite this imperfection, they've done a great job with small and large work, and have gone out of their way to explain things when we were confused or just curious. Their prices are fair, they don't rush or forget things, they get the work done on time, and there is a nice old dog who hang out there too.

I also followed them out to Burlington from the Arlington Shop. Great Service and friendly people. I even enjoy the trek back to Arlington in the shuttle. With my engine light, they reset it for free, and when it came back on, located the problem and fixed it. My car is in great shape for almost 100K miles.

Hometown Garage does quality work and almost always gets you in quickly. If you run into a problem, you can drop in, and somebody in the shop will take a look at what's going on and make sure the car is safe for you to drive and schedule you for an appoint typically the next day. They don't do loaner cars but will drive you home and pick you up when the car is ready. If you want to wait for your car, they have a comfortable waiting room furnished with a TV, coffee, and newspapers. Their prices are fair, and I have always been more than satisfied with their work.
