Dating Handbook: Pickup Lines and Driving Stories

All right, guys...

I actually HAD the experience of meeting someone at a traffic light, and since you were wanting to find out methods that work for meeting the opposite sex during that 30-second interval at the "red-light district," I thought I'd tell you my story.

At the time I was driving a 1991 Hyundai Excel. When you're finished either laughing or wondering how a guy in an Excel could attract anyone, I'll continue...

It was 9:50 in the morning and I was going to my classes at the University of South Carolina (I am currently working on my master's degree). Actually, at 9:50 I was driving around trying to find a parking space. At one stoplight, I looked over at a 1989 Prelude and saw the most wonderful example of genetic perfection Nature has produced.

When she looked over at me, she removed her sunglasses and smiled.

"OH, MY GOD," I thought. "WHAT DO I DO?"

I rolled down the passenger window; she rolled down her window. I yelled out, "There's not a lot of time to meet here, but I'd love to have lunch with you today at the Immaculate Consumption (a local restaurant). Meet me between 12:30 and 1:30 if you're interested."

She nodded, and to my surprise, she actually came to lunch at 1:10. Nothing much happened after that--we didn't have a lot in common, but I DID get a lunch date with her, and I got to meet her.

Perhaps my experience will help you with the gentleman who was looking for suggestions.
