Dad Gaylord started the place and the racing team. His son runs it now. I've been taking my '86 Accord here for 10 years and have always been pleased with the work, the price and the advice. I even recommended it to an ex-girlfriend, who called me back, amazed that they had fixed her electical system by tightening a connection, then didn't charge her. She thought I was wonderful: This is the only bad experience I've had with this outfit. I'm on my second timing belt with a rebuilt transmission and will buy another Honda just so I can keep using these guys -- If I ever need another car.

They were the only shop that I found that treated me like
they wanted my return business and my referrals.
They also were the only shop that gave a discount for
combined services, such as a 90K mile service and timing
belt change.
Plus, when you make an appointment, you talk to the owner's
wife and can have the owner work on your car, or request
another mechanic. You feel a lot more connected to the work
than when you take your car to a dealer.
Their goal is to make every Honda and Acura they service
last over 300,000 miles! Enough said!

Very knowledgeable, thorough. I have had the mecahnic call
me at home to give me his impression of how the car is
doing in general as well and they give a good, easy to
understand report. They always call to let you know when
the car is ready. Office help is also very knowledgeable.
Sometimes I think they use "book" labor rates rather than
actual, but it's usually a wash because some things take
longer and some things take less time, so it all comes out
OK.

I had a reoccuring problem that they could not reproduce
in the shop. They did not tell me I was crazy, instead
they asked me to leave the car and one of their techs
drove it to all their daily stops during the day (with my
permission) and when the problem occured they called me
and told me that it was a very dangerous situation and
they were glad that I had brought it in.

Honest, competent people. The ladies answering the phones,
Dana, Kathy, and Donna, know more than most techs at
dealerships. Several times they've correctly analyzed my
problem on the phone, told me which part to buy and how to
install it, saving me a trip in. And the mechanics are even
better.

Gaylord's Gargage is a 30-year-old, family-owned and
operated auto repair shop that specializes in Honda and
Acura vehicles. Our family has used them for service and
repairs since 1995.
We have always been treated fairly, with respect, and have
always been happy with their work and their great customer
service.
We will continue to use them and recommend them to others.
