I've was happy to find this shop. They complete the work quickly, give good estimates, and are concerned with their customer's satisfaction. Once, a few days after having some work done, I needed an unrelated repair. I called them to see if they could fit me in. They were too busy that day, so I went to another shop. Later, someone from Gateway called me back, saying they had noticed I'd called, and was everything OK with their work. I'd never had a mechanic do that before.

Scott (Both Owner and Mechanic) Is Not only a good mechanic
but
He's also Very Honest! He doesn't try to sell you work or
parts you really don't need. One time we had to drop our
car off late after work and didn't have any transportation
to get back to our home in Estes Park. Scott loaned us his
jeep overnight so we could drive back to our place (That's
20 Miles away!)
...and scott walked home! I hope this fellow never retires,
there's not enough mechanics like that anymore!

My Fiancee and I took a two week trip to Colorado from
Illinois to see Rocky Mountain National Park with family
members. We noticed we were having some trouble getting up
the mountains, and the engine seemed like it was straining.
So, after some debate, we decided to look up a mechanic in the
area and found Gateway; it had a couple good reviews so we
decided to take a chance. I called the mechanic and left the
Jeep, told him the problems I was having, and that I thought
it might be spark plugs.
He got back to me the same day with a diagnosis and was
ready to repair. It turned out my fan belt was cracked and
almost about to break, my spark plugs were shot (I knew that
already), and my Throttle Positioning Sensor needed to be
replaced.
He repaired it in the morning the following day at my
request. He told me he would have it finished by early
afternoon. He had it finished at 10:30 AM.
When we went in there to pay, he took me aside and showed me
the parts he replaced and how bad of shape they were in, and
he also let me know that I needed a new gas cap and that my
radiator was leaking slightly and that it needed to be fixed
at some point.
After getting my vehicle back, I noticed a huge improvement
in performance.
I appreciate the honesty of this mechanic and Gateway Auto,
and the timely manner they worked in. Also, with me being
from out of state, it is a huge plus, I wish Gateway was near
the town I live in, they would get my business every time!
