We had the 1994 Nissan Sentra towed to their shop on a friend's advice (we were new to the area). The car refused to start, although it was getting spark, and appeared to be getting fuel. After talking to some knowldgeable friends, we thought the timing belt was broken. I told John (owner) that I thought it could be the timing belt (maybe that was a mistake...a creep mechanic may have just replaced it to spite me), but asked him to check for himself. We left and got a phone call 45min later telling us that the engine was floded (I can't imagine how, we didn't get it towed for 2 days after it quit), and it would be $30 for checking it out and fixing it. I think a less-than-honest mechanic could have really taken us for ride.
