Blazer looks like it desperately needs a bath. Fortunately, looks don't count: they know how to fix VWs and Audis, and have kept one of each alive for us since 1987. Both cars have over 135K, and have had an average maintenance cost of $250/yr (VW) and $500/yr (Audi) for that length of time. They never fix what isn't broken, they know how to scrounge used parts, and they always tell you up front what they think should be fixed, how much it will cost, and when it will be ready. We are reluctant to buy any other makes of cars because we're afraid we won't be able to find such reliable service for them.

I moved from Denver a few years ago and one of the things I miss most is the
trustworthy, great service of Blazer Automotive. It's so difficult to find a good,
honest mechanic shop, but bringing my car to Blazer Automotive was always a
positive experience. Their prices are reasonable and while you need to take a
bus or get a ride to the shop, it's worth it. They specialize in VW work, but also
work on Audis and are worth a phone call if you're unsure if they'll work on your
foreign car.
