It's hard to answer the questions based on a sample of one experience -- how am I to know if I'd be treated the same if I went there in drag? What I can say about Clark's... A few days before taking my '88 Nissan Pulsar on a long road trip a few months ago (9/98), I took it to a local Firestone shop for some routine work, including a radiator flush. Drove the car to work the next day and after 10 miles, steam was pouring out from under the hood. A guy at work recommended Clark's, and we took the car there over lunch. Got it back the next day, bill was $132 (Nissan quotes $452 for the radiator alone, no labor, not in stock). On the overall satisfaction rating, I'll give Clark's 5 out of 5 for a rushed job. Put 1100 miles on that car over the next 5 days, and didn't think about the radiator once. No sweat, just works, reasonable price, radiator looks factory- new (I finally looked).

Blowing a radiator in front of Old Faithful @Yellowstone, we limped home to Ford. There, we were informed $400 plus a 2-week wait would fix the problem. I walked across street to interview small auto repair shops. My questions & agitations were calmed by Mr.Clark's expertise&know-how.Our vehicle was returned to us the next day for $168. This also solved the sluggish heating problem that our previous garage sent us back home with over the years for a charge. I recommend his shop because it is reasonably priced, timely&he patiently explains while troubleshooting.
