The first time I called Affordable Motors (aka Affordable
Honda) to schedule a time to bring in my Isuzu Rodeo for a
minor repair, Jim asked: "How handy do you consider yourself
to be?"
"Huh? What do you mean?", I said.
"You're welcome to drive over and I'd be happy to repair
your car, but if you have a wrench handy, I'll tell you how
to fix it yourself. It'll take 2 minutes."
I had my car repaired without spending a dime and Jim had a
loyal customer for life.
During my first actual visit to his shop (for an oil
change), Jim popped my car on the lift and walked me through
a quick look at everything. "Hmmm, your [car part] looks a
little worn, but that's normal for Rodeos. No need to worry
yet. Let's keep an eye on it and let me know if [symptom]
occurs. Should run you about $[amount]."
I like Jim because he's super informative, honest and fun.
Once he said: "I could repair that, it'll run ya about $300,
but since it's not hurting a thing, I'd suggest you just
live with it."
We've had Jim work on our car several times and have always
been extremely pleased with his prompt, courteous service.
