This is an informal shop with a low overhead. The owner does all repair work and has been in the business and owned this shop for many years. Everything about the shop is about as reasonable as it can get, economically and otherwise. Very knowledgable and conscientious. In the old days when his yellow page ad was larger, the owner advertised that he was talkative. He'll tell you anything you need to know and answer any questions (about Volvos). Some years the shop is closed for the winter while the owner/mechanic heads for warmer climes. Can't say I blame him!

I met Steve in one of those warmer climates (Guatemala) in 1990. He patched up my Ford (a real lemon that many a Mexican mechanic had had their fun with on that trip) and it made it the whole way back to Boulder. I later bought a Volvo and he took care of it for many years. He is honest and concientious ( which are only two of his many qualities) If my wife would not have insisted I get rid of my old Volvo, he would still be my mechanic.
