I swear Terry and his son, Brian are the best mechanics. I've gone to quick commercial garages and "took it in the tail pipe" if you know what I'm saying. After spending $2000 on a $2500 car at a local commercial place I went back to Terry and swore I would never stray from T&M Auto again. Terry is always honest. He has gone out of his way to help me. He's straight up and has even told me if his prices are going to be more expensive than other places. Once, my car still was not running well after I brought it in–does Terry charge me? No. Does he complain? No. Does he fix it right away? Yes. Anyway, often I thought about writing the newspaper and telling the world about T&M Auto. . .this website may remedy that!

Terry is great! I am a satisfied customer and am telling all of my friends about T&M. Their repairs are quick, thorough, and reliable. They are generous and matter-of- fact when they explain why they're doing what needs to be done to my car. They rock!

My fiance and I recently moved to Boulder knowing we
needed repair on our Toyota Camry. Without a frame of
reference I turned to the CarTalk website to check out
some mechanics in the area. I thought the customer
comments for T&M Auto showed a shop that wanted to build a
relationship with their clients, which was just what I
wanted. At first I was confused when I found out it was
under new ownership, but soon found John Argrow to be a
wonderfully kind and welcoming fellow, showing great pride
in his workshop. John has adopted the same values of
honesty, helpfulness and going the extra mile that T&M
customers must have been used to. After meeting John I
really felt welcomed to the Boulder community and I hope
to continue my relationship with his shop for all my auto
needs.

I was a customer at T&M, and continued to patronize the
shop when John took over. Terry and Brian were great, and I
think John has met and exceeded the high standard of
cutomer service that they provided. I was planning to move
back to Washington state and had all my worldly possesions
in the back of my 83 AMC Eagle. I made it about 80 miles,
to Silverthorne, when my transmission died. I spent the
next few days talking to local mechanics, who could not see
me for at least a week, and I didn't trust any way. I
finally called John just for some advice, and when I told
him the situation he said he'd drive up the next morning
with some tools to see if he could fix it and get me back
on my way. He had replaced the clutch a couple months
before and wanted to make sure that the problem wasn't
anything he caused. Unfortunately it needed a whole new
tranny, but he went way out of his way to help me out. He
never charged me the better part of a day he spent driving
up and back. He is by far the most honest mechanic I have
ever dealt with and is also just a genuinely good person.

These folks are great. Most recently, I took my car there
for a problem that ended up having an obscure solution.
Rather than replacing random expensive parts, John took care
to trouble shoot and find out exactly what was going on with
the car and only replace that part that was problematic. I
know at other shops, mechanics start replacing things at
random--clearly, this can get expensive. These guys are
kind, straight forward, honest, and offer reasonable prices
to repair problems. I have taken my car several places in
Boulder and without a doubt, this is the best place.

I had just purchased a 2000 tahoe 4wd with 135000 mi to
use as a "vacation car" when out in Co. I brought it to
John's ( after checking this website) for a check up to see
how bad I'd screwed myself by buying such a high milege
car. they put in new brakes, shocks and hoses at my
request. they did a very thorough check up found a few
add'nl small problems and charged a very reasonable price.
why am I writing? because they genuinly seemed to care
about the car and the customer. reassuring that it will be
a good reliable vehicle- which it has been. a few months
later i had a problem with the 4 wd in the snow.. they
not only fixed it but for free!! saying they should have
noticed the problem when they first checked it out!!
this was 5000 miles later!!! no one does that! These have
to be the most honest mechanics in the world(save
perhaps "our fair city"). a few small problems have come
up and been repaired at John's since. Every time is more
pleasant than a trip to the repair shop tends to be. now
with 150000 mi on the beast I'm looking forward to 100000
more. Proabably with alittle help from John's.

I am a female senior citizen who knows a little about
cars. They always explain what needs to be done, options,
suggestions. They are fiendly and create a family like
atomosphere with customers. My experience with them leads
me to believe they are honest and can be trusted.
