I love Dietsch Werks. Can't say enough good things about them. I have had both my DeLorean and Volvo there for service. Rob is honest to a fault. I like this shop over others because I can get detailed answers from the very person who is doing the work on my car, and he will take the time to show me what is going on. All the work is warranted and reasonably priced. When a transmission cooling line came loose on my Volvo after some work they did, they fixed it for free the next day - on a Sunday - and drove it around for a couple hours to make everything was OK. In addition to being a Porsche and Volvo specialist, Rob is now the official Bay Area mechanic of the Northern California DeLorean Motor Club. They are setting up a new shop in Santa Clara which should have much more bays and parking.

I have no idea how Rob responds if he screws up, since he hasn't messed anything up--a situation I prefer. He's a ton less expensive than the dealers, and the work seems to get done very well. He's a small shop (and hard to find, unless you're really familiar with the area, due to Sunnyvale's signage laws), and that means he can get backed up. Rob has made a couple of other shops look pretty bad by finding and (relatively) inexpensively fixing some problems that others either missed completely or fixed incorrectly.

The only screw-up I saw Rob do was take a little longer to complete the work. But whenever he knows that you need a car for a competition or some other driving event, he'll work till the wee hours of the night to get the car ready! The quality of work is amazing, and pricing is more than fair. When you pick up your car from Rob, you know you can trust it with your life--on the track or on the highway.
