This is a family operation with Mom, Dad, and Son Scott. Dad gives you a ride home and picks you up and helps with other jobs around the shop. Scott is a very good mechanic, knows how to fix cars and is honest. Mom works in the office and helps with the phones and billing. I trust Scott to do only the necessary work and not overcharge me. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to get it right. Scott has 2 or 3 other mechanics working for him in the shop. Scott sends out frequent reminders for service intervals. Scott's brother used to be a co-owner/mechanic, but has since left to go back to heavy truck maintenance at another shop. The main focus of the shop is maintenance of Japenese cars.

They specialize in Japanese cars. They have worked on my wife's former car (Nissan) her current car (Honda) my mother in laws Toyota and my Toyota Tundra. They only fix what is broken. In one visit I had the car towed in for a sparkplug which had broken. The metal part was still in the engine and the porcelin had blown out. They just replaced the one plug. Told me I didn't need the others they were fine. Shop wil ussually call a few days after the repairs to see if everything is OK.

I would never take my car anywhere else. Part of the reason I am getting a new Honda is that I want a car they will work on. They are the most honest mechanics on the face of the earth.

Fantastic repairs, good explanations and support. Major repair (blown head gasktet) and medium repair both went VERY well.

I believe they're honest;they'll re-examine the car and make necessary corrections if the problem is not fixed.

They are unbelievably honest, take responsibility even when the problem WASN'T their fault (I got a hole in my radiator 6 months after they had replaced a thermostat. They fixed it, free, just because the symptom of overheating was the same), have never made an error on my cars. They are so low-key and quiet-spoken that when you first meet the brothers who own the business, you wonder if they are really commited to working--and then you discover how extraordinarily good their work is. One of the rare places where if you have limited funds, you can ask if a repair is really needed immediately, and they will tell you honestly which ones are urgent and which problems will just make the car sound funny or feel odd but don't pose any safety hazards. Shop is quiet & clean, rides to and from shop if needed always willingly offered (even to Manteca, which is a town 1/2 hour away). I can't recommend them highly enough--except to say that when I needed a new car, my choice was cars was partly determined by which brands they would work on.

had a rock hit my condenser (2005 Prius). Fixed promptly and professionally at a reasonable price. Very down to earth and low key, professional.
