This mechanic will accurately diagnose a problem at no charge. George and Walt give excellent service.

My car definatly had a tricky transmission problem. After several repair shops I went to George's Performance. George did a lot of research with the manufacture and dealer repair shops, on his own time, he concluded that ultimately this car was going to be an on going problem that would possibly be expensive, plus inconvenient. I appreciate and trust his advice. I now have another car, so I probably won't need his services. However, I recommend him highly. If he can do it, he will until he gets it right. If it can't be done (at least cost effectively) he'll tell you. And if there is someone else that can service your needs better, he is not afraid to refer you elsewhere.

When my 1984 BMW 318i croaked outside of Reno, NV (roughly 3000 miles from it's normal home in Honolulu & 2 days from my anticipated return to Honolulu from San Francisco), I said things that wilted all vegetation within a radius of 20 yards. After checking CarTalk online for a mechanic, I took it to George's Performance Auto in S. Lake Tahoe. George said he'd fix it by tomorrow. He did! His price was reasonable and he was friendly and competent. He didn't even charge for fan belt adjustment (it squeaked). Only problem is going to be getting the car to George for repairs if I send it back to Honolulu. Robert L. Sanders (Happy customer)

Repair was made in a quick and concise manner. Final repair ccame in under estimated price. Good experience for the first time, will definately take my car back there for any future needs.
