Pauls is works hard and fast on your car. He's not the world's leading expert in any one model or make but he's friendly, fast and does good work. For VERY affordable shop rates and someone who will not charge more without confirming with you first, check out Slim's Auto Repair.

Paul's shop is small but he's the cheapest in the area, won't over charge, and does a lot of stuff for free while other shops would charge part of their hourly rate (evaluations, adjustments, etc). He give out free air freshners to customers, works weekends, works FAST, and is -- again -- very affordable. Hang out with him for a couple minutes when you drop your car off, he's full of good general car tips and information. He also drags his own machine out at Sears Point (I mean "infinion" raceway). Let me put it this way: I trust him to work on my mother's car and not over charge her (same with my girlfriend and her friends). It's not as slick an opperation as the dealership but it's less than half the cost (he even comes in below his estimate pretty often!).
