I've taken every VW I've owned to Mike for repairs and maintenance since 1986. He is a gifted AND honest mechanic.

I had a minor coolant leak, I expected maybe a hose. Local shop pressure tested, said the leak was there but deep down, and I should take the car to a Mercedes specialist, and charged me nothing for the advice. Tillmans charged me $60 to quite me $1160 for the replacement of a water pump that was leaking. (I declined and fixed it myself.) They seem competent but everything about the place looks expensive, despite the rural setting.

I've been taking my VWs to Mike since 1985. If fact I continue to buy VWs mostly because I don't have to change mechanics. (He also does other German cars, but they are too pricey for me.) The shop is professional, clean and well organized. They give the best service, always wash and clean the car, take it to be smogged, etc. I'd trust any German car to them. The one downside is that they charge the top price. But I think it's worth it.

I'm a very happy customer. During routine maintaince they inspect the vehicle for other things that may need attention; but absolutely no pressure to do it now. They have a high level of expertise on Porsche vehicles. I feel they are well worth the expense. I plan on continue using them for all my Porsche needs.

They are very nice here, but the prices are sometimes way too high, often comparable to the dealership. They will not do an oil change without a minor service (or at least charging that amount), they quote a price for a service and add fuel additive without telling you for an additional $12, etc. You have to cross check their quotes to get a good deal here, but the work is good.
