I obtained their name from the Mechanix files and I'm glad I took my car to them. I needed to replace the timing belt in my 91 corolla and they gave me the lowest quote. While all the other shops were charging $225-$250 for the job, they charged only $180. Also, they did not try to do any more work than the car needed. Other shops wanted to replace the water pump and the tensioner "because you might as well do that while replacing the timing belt" for a price tag of up to $400. Joy automotive checked these parts and told me they didn't need to be replaced. The work was done on a timely fashion (the car was ready at least 3 hours before the promised time). They showed me the old part upon my request and were very open to answer my questions about the car. I highly recommend them, but because they're so good, they're always busy. I had to make an appointment a few days in advance to bring in my car.

The clutch of my 1992 Honda died, and More Joy Auto Repair fixed it in a day. Less than a day! I left it at 5pm Friday and picked it up at 1pm Saturday. My Honda was shiny clean inside and out, with everything fixed, all at such a reasonable price. The guys there were so so nice to me. I can't tell you how great it was.

I was new to the Los Angeles area and had a really bad over heating problem. Being new here I was really stressed about were I was going to take my car. I never liked the dealer. I heard about this site over the radio and found the garage with some of the best reviews wasn't that far from were I lived. My experince with the guys from JOY AUTO was great , they treated me like they had known me forever and that made me feel comfortable. They even gave me a ride to work and a few hours later called me back with what they had found wrong with my car. After the repair was done they even picked me up. The price was not cheap , but well worth it. I had gotten less expensive estimates but figured the saving may have came from using cheaper quality parts that would have lasted less time or may have had problem re occur . It's very difficult relocating especially trying to find people that you can trust with such an important part of daily life like an automoble. I feel very lucky to have found trustworthy mechanics. thanxs Cartalk and thaaannkk you verrry much Cesar and the rest OF the crew at JOY AUTOMOTIVE

I went in with a window that wouldn't roll up and to get a tune up. They fixed the window fast and didn't try to scam me for repairs I didn't need in terms of the tune up. They said that everything looked fine and that it was in good shape. Amazing.. This was the first time I've ever gone in for a tune up and didn't have the shop try to me for a ride! Very nice guys, and I will definitely be going back.

This is a GREAT place to do business! They have taken care of both my daughters' cars on several occasions, and several times have told them they did not need work done. They also did some minor repairs for free. I trust these folks and greatly appreciate their ethics and good work.
