Calvin Tong is so honest that I've had to argue with him to let me pay. He has done small jobs and said, "There's no charge for that." And I'll say, "But it took you time to do it. I insist on paying you at least your minimum charge." And he'll insist back, "No charge." We had a 2000 Mercury Sable Wagon that had some problems. Calvin told us in 2005 that the problems were only going to get worse and that we should sell the car. If we had kept it, it would have meant a lot of business for him, doing the repairs that the car constantly needed. But he told us to sell it and buy a Honda, which he said would rarely need repairs. We did it and are glad we did. We have a 1998 Ford Windstar Minivan that we had serviced the day before my wife, two boys, ages 5 and 7, and myself were going to drive 350 miles to Los Angeles. Calvin found a problem with one of the wheels that he said made the car unsafe to drive to L.A. He rushed to get the part that day so we could leave on schedule. He said that if he couldn't get the part, he didn't want us driving it to L.A. I could go on and on about Calvin.
