Our MX3 didnt pass smog and needed a new engine. A few
mechanics' estimates later we were ready to donate our
baby. I looked here in the mechanix files hoping to
locate a real mechanic and decided to give Rotorsport a
call. Paul gave us an excelent price and got our car back
on the road the first time with a "new" used engine. We
have had 20K problem free miles. This car was a
diagnostic nightmare but he got it right. He is
competent, honest, and friendly. He always takes the time
to speak with me to describe repairs and answer all of my
questions. He will be this cars mechanic as long as We
live in the Bay Area.

If you want a competent, fairly priced, and quality service performed on your Mazda car, no matter the model, then go to Rotorsport2. I had a rather complicated 60k service done here on my Mazda Millennia S, and they did an outstanding job. They did everything from answering all my questions prior to doing the service and checking back with me a week later to see if everything matched my expectations. They use genuine Mazda parts yet dont charge the unreasonable prices that the local dealership does. If you have a Mazda, go here.

I've visited this shop twice now for minor repairs on my
Mazda Protege. As a woman who does not know much about
cars, I appreciated the owner's honesty about the repairs
that were necessary (and not necessary!) for my car. A
friend had done a preliminary diagnosis, which could easily
have been costly, but at the shop I was told the diagnosis
was actually incorrect, and that the repair was instead a
very minor one. I would bring my car back without
hesitation should it need any service, and I have already
recommended it to another friend who is a Mazda owner
should she need service on her car.

Great service, kept me informed about any and all details I
had asked them about. All work performed in a very timely
manner. My expectations were more than met...and exceeded.
I am glad to have found a great place to trust my car to,
and I will pass the word on to others...(:>)

When my Mazda dealer closed their service department, I came on this site to
find a new mechanic. I have been a loyal customer ever since. The friendly and
knowledgeable service is really refreshing. The prices are reasonable and I like
the fact that they are Mazda experts. If I ever move, I wish I could bring them
with me!

They are WONDERFUL!!! This place will always have great
business because their customers trust them.
I chose them on the advice of this website. I called in
the middle of the day, and was referred right to the
mechanic, who listened to my take on my car's problem, and
said I could bring it over right away. He must have
realized my understanding of the car's functioning parts
is, well, zilch. I was going to wait for my husband to
commit to paying for something because he's the
mechanically inclined one in our family (we are quite
stereotypical on this). So I arrived with my two kids (1
and 4 years old) in tow. Paul went to take a look at the
car, came back to tell me what he thinks needs fixing, and
went and fixed it. My entourage and I waited with the
friendly receptionist who chatted with us while we
waited.
The problem turned out to be something that just needed to
be put back in place to stop the noise. It seems the
Mazda dealership had dislodged it during the 60K tuneup.
He fixed that, and checked various other things, ALL FOR
FREE!!! He even wrote out what he did, what all he
checked and what he thought I should check if it had been
changed recently.

I found these guys by searching for a phone estimate on a
set of repairs. They didn't come in lowest, but their
service quality is incredible. I have the sense they're
doing it for the car, not the income.
They're up front on costs, right at the desk. They don't
cut corners or skimp. They research all possible options
before hitting the most expensive and have been very
detailed in telling us what needs to be done. I have had
NO surprises except good ones with the mechanics there.
We like them so much that we're considering a Mazda
replacement car just so we can keep the mechanic!

Paul is just a wonderful person and mechanic. He always does a fantastic job
with my car, charges about half the price that the dealer charges, and is very
friendly. Thanks to him, I will be able to keep my car with 130,000 miles on for
a long time, which is great, because I love that car! :)
