May 03, 2007
Six years ago vehicle needed major repair and I was temporarily using public transportation, when I decided to ask a bus driver if he knew any capable and reliable mechanics. He replied that, while buses had their own bus repair stations, for his personal cars he went to Rab Nawaz, who, although rather expensive, was completely honest and trustworthy, plus an excellent and knowledgeable mechanic. I left my vehicle at Hi Tech Automotive Works with Mr. Nawaz, who later the same day sent me a facsimile listing the problems and their respective prices. I phoned him and we discussed the problems. He was articulate and respectful of my ideas (and being a woman, this intellectual respect from a mechanic is rather uncommon). When I got my car back the second day, it functioned perfectly and I had no further problems with that vehicle for several years. Since I have several cars, I have had the opportunity to return to Mr. Nawaz many times since then, and have come to respect him and to rely on the excellent work of his shop.
