Several years ago I went to them because another tire shop nearby couldn't help me. I found them to be very honest. They don't try to sell you something you don't need and they are reasonable on their pricing.

I have been going to them for about 10+ years, they were recommended by the volvo mechanic around the corner, CRO, that I have been going to for 20 + years. They have always been fair, good if not the best prices, and efficient. I have bought probably 15 tires over that time and have been very satisfied. They have even fixed a couple nail punctures for me and they have worked well. I strongly recommend them.

When I was walking dogs, transporting them in my 1990 Jetta all over Marin, I used to get flats and worn out tires all the time. I was recommended to H&J for used tires by another shop that stopped selling them. H&J always gave me the best used tire at the best price and gave me lots of advice for maintenance of my tires to make them last. Service was fast, they always took me in right away, and I never cringed at the price. As a girl I'm so used to guys at auto shops talking to me like I have no clue (I did most of the repairs on my Jetta myself). At another shop one guy actually tried to explain to me what "glazing" on a brake pad meant ("It gets all shiny and smooth" moron), and when I mentioned that I thought my Ford's rough idle could be a faulty O2 sensor, it took him about 3 minutes of staring at me going "um..." to finally say "Oh, yeah, I guess that could be it". But enough venting... The guys at H&J were never like that. I was always happy with the straightforward way these guys talked to me. Whether I want to discuss Metal Master brake pads or uneven tread wear, they never talk to me like I'm incompetent. I have a new car now and I wouldn't dream of taking it anywhere else for tires, alignment or brakes. H&J rocks! Teal Childress-San Rafael, CA

They have worked on our cars for at least 15 years. We rely on them for everything. We always know they will be honest and thorough.

They are outstanding! They just do tires & WEheels, but have worked on my (until I recently sold it) Infiniti J- 30T, my wife's Volvo, her (present) Lexus 400h, and my Porsche. ALWAYs had the right tire at a reasonable price, no BS, just a good job!
