I brought my Montero in for a problem that I thought would be fixed by a new clutch. The owner strongly urged me to get a new one because mine was worn. He showed me the parts and everything (but let's face it, most of us don't know a worn clutch from a new one). The problem is that he didn't tell me that it wouldn't fix the problem that I had (pops out of first gear due to a weak plate in the transmission). He told me I still had the problem after I had paid and was about the drive away.

I've been very happy with the service at Norfolk Auto Service - he has worked on my Volvo S40 and my wife's Honda CRV each several times for simple repairs and maintenance. (Brakes, 60K mile service, etc) The work has always been quick and the prices fair. Wally is clear in explaining the work that needs to be done, and after the repair is complete he will keep the worn out/replaced parts out so he can point out the wear/defects. I have recommended this shop to other friends and co-workers, and they have been pleased with the service as well.
