Zucatto's Auto Service got a Best Buy Rating with a 100% score in a local consumer's magazine called "Checkbook". His shop received top ratings for both quality and price from 30 customers who submitted a questionnaire to the magazine. John Zuccato has been repairing cars for over 40 years and will not hire a mechanic if they are not extremely capable. He has been fixing my car for over 20 years. I lost track of him when he left our local service station. When I heard he had a shop "somewhere" on Evelyn, I called every shop in the phonebook to find him again. When I have not been able to repair all the problems for my car, I can depend on him to fix only those things that are really necessary. You can't go wrong having your car fixed by him.

They are good, honest mechanics who do not over-schedule themselves.

I've been very impressed with Zuccato's. They charge reasonable rates and are honest about needed repairs. Unlike other shops which say everything needs to be replaced, I've asked these guys about potential repairs and they told me they weren't necessary!

I read what reviewer #33105 said, and they are very similar to my experiences as well. Years ago John Zucatto worked at a station near my home. My car broke down across the road from that gas station one night -- after just picking it up from another garage where it was towed to repair that same problem. John fixed it in the dark with a flash light and told me it was known problem covered by a recall that would reimburse the cost of repairs. My cars have been repaired only by him except for a few years when I also lost track of him. Finally, the station where he worked mentioned he had his own shop on Evelyn. He wasn't listed in the Yellow Pages, so I also called all the stations listed on Evelyn to track him down. He is honest and his prices are more than reasonable. He has had many price increases at his shop over the years that he has not passed on to customers. I recommend him highly.

Consistently good at determining what's wrong. They also belong to an online service that allows them to query other mechanics across the country.
