If you need a transmission in SF, this is the place to go. I got 3 estimates for my 4WD Montero and B&E's was $600-$800 less than the others, plus you get a decent 12K/1-year warranty.

B&E is closed now, they apparently retired.

I stumbled on them in an emergency. I used them over a
period of years with complete satisfaction. It's an old
fashioned, service oriented business. They also told me what
did not need to be done (I had suggested something). always
a good sign.
