2 out of three tow truck drivers have told me, "Melrose Motors is the best in the City." Most repairs done in a day. Real responsive. Save the parts for me to look at. Admits mistakes. Has never been wrong with his diagnosis.

I've been taking my cars (Volvo and Mazda) to Roger for 20
years. I've find him absolutely trustworthy and highly
competent. Moreover, he has a calm, helpful, reassuring
manner. He has always worked my car into the schedule when
an emergency strikes.

The only question I could not answer was the one asking whether they respond
well when they screw something up. That's because they have never screwed
anything up. For years they were a few blocks from where I lived, but their
move to 10th Street didn't keep me from taking my car to them. Now I've moved
further away, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and I still wouldn't dream of going
anywhere else.

Roger was my wife's only mechanic for her old bmw 2002.
She really felt she could trust him. Before we got married
he work on her car for at least 10 years. She always told
me about the work that was needed and I felt good knowing
that he never ripped her off. I work in the auto world,a
dealership partsmen in fact, and know all the tricks of
this trade. Roger is not only a far, good mechanic, he is
also a good customer of mine.

I agree with the all the great comments above! In addition,
this is the only place i've ever come to pick up my old
junker and had the bill total up to less than the estimate.

Roger is very trustworthy and never recommends any extra
work. I feel very lucky to have found this shop, because
I'd been ripped off before.

I love Roger. Has cared for my cars (Subaru, Honda, Toyota, Lexus) for
over 20 years. The best story was when he patiently removed the
desiccated bits of a fly that had somehow died between the dash and the
glass cover by tediously removing the parts with wire with a dab of glue
via the removed odometer reset knob. Otherwise would have cost
hundreds of dollars to open the dash. He just waved me off with a grin, no
charge. Has told me several times when work recommended by others
didn't need to be done. Has fixed minor things like warning lights
inappropriately coming on for free. Answers stupid questions patiently.
Now less convenient for me in their new location but still worth the trip.
Cars always ready when promised at the price quoted or less. No loaner
cars like dealerships but totally honest, knowledgeable, experienced so
worth the inconvenience. Referred me to a Mercedes specialist when he
felt he couldn't service it appropriately which of course is one reason I
know longer own the Benz!

Roger and David have been taking care of our family cars for more than 10 years. We feel so lucky to have found them after years of questionable service from a variety of service shops. Roger and David are honest and resonably priced, their work is scheduled and always delivered on time, and their location is easilty accessible. We knew we were working with reputable people when they sent us home on more than one occassion saying that there was no work that needed to be done and with no charge (a simple lose wire or a bolt that needed tightening). They have also referred us to other specialists in the area for bigger jobs like a transmission replacement and body work.
