I love taking my car to Rocky and Larry. They take the time to explain repairs, keep parts to show you why they needed repair and are exceptionally competent. Only problem is they're only open weekdays 8am to 5pm. They're to only ones I trust to take care of my 02 Protege ES. Found Dennstedt's after the owner of Royal Mazda in El Cajone retired to build rotary race engines for buggies. He's listed on the San Diego Miata website. Wish I'd known about Larry's shop (Larry Dennstedt) earlier.

Larry Dennstedt is the owner of this great repair shop- his employee is "Rocky", who is also a great mechanic. On top of being very good at what he does (fixing cars), Larry is an extremely honest and reputable businessman. My family and friends have been taking our cars to Dennstedt's for over 20 years, and have never had a problem or complaint. Larry never recommends work that doesn't need doing, and when a repair is required, he always goes over every detail with you. The only bad part- they are only open 8-5 Mon- Fri and do not have a drop box. But other than that, I would highly recommend this shop to anyone (be advised they do not do alignment or air conditioner work).
