I have been a grateful customer for about 26 years now. I visited their new shop about a week ago and was very impressed. Lawrence, the owner, was very excited to show me the latest equipment, the facility, the waiting room with large TV, wi-fi, books, the computer used by the mechanics for technical information, the cameras, etc. I doubt if there is a better repair shop on the planet except maybe for the one in Cambridge, Our Fair City.

I have owned Hondas for many years and have been going to Sun the entire time. I don't trust most mechanics, and it's been such a relief to have a place to take my car where I know that I am not being taken advantage of. After going so long, I feel like I'm treated like family. Also, when I have to buy another (used) car/Honda, I take it there to be checked over before buying, and, the last time, they discovered that the car had been in a MAJOR accident which was not reported by the person selling it to me. Saved me thousands of dollars! I HIGHLY recommend this repair shop!!

I have been taking 3 of my family's vehicles to this shop for many years. They recently moved from downtown to just south of Home Ave on 47th St. I am thinking of buying a new car (to replace my '87 Honda Prelude), and even though I like the Mini Cooper, I am strongly leaning toward another Honda because I don't want to change mechanics! My bias is that I have always had unfailingly good service from them at a reasonable price. I've never had them "screw something up" -- so couldn't answer that question. Lawrence & Luis are excellent mechanics; I recommend them with no reservations. They work on all Japanese models.

Laurence and Luis are the most honest and competent mechanics I've ever encountered. I've stayed with Honda vehicles since 1982 so that they would be able to work on it (though they've now branched out to other Japanese manufacturers). The new shop has much more space than their previous location.

Very Honest and reasonable prices. I had my Dodge worked on there. Was told from someone else I needed repairs of 6 to 7 hundred dollars. They said that was not the problem and showed me what needed to be done at just over a hundred dollars.

Lawrence is my favorite mechanic. He is always fair, willing to explain, and more than willing to help! He's driven me home on numerous occasions when I couldn't find a ride. (He even let me borrow his car for errands once.) For aesthetic repairs, he always takes the time to call around to local junkyards to save his customer's money. I've been going to Sun Honda since I found them on Car Talk in 2003. They're awesome...go nowhere else!

I have been going to Sun Independent Auto since 1980. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. This is my third Honda. My last one, a '92 Honda Accord EX, had 265,000 on it when the air conditioner finally gave out. Great people.
