They are hands down the best show I've ever taken by car into. All of the gentleman there are extremely competant, and are more than willing to take the time to talk to you and explain in detail what they did on your car, and what needs to be fixed right away whereas what can wait. (I have never had a show honestly tell me when my car didn't need somehting done, that the show could have charged for!) Several times they even installed parts and didn't even charge me labor costs for it! Unfortunately now I live 600 miles away, but when I am in that part of the state I make sure to schedule the regualar maintenance my car needs with them. When I moved the told me to give them a call anytime if I had any questions, no matter how trivial, and they would be more than happy to help me out! They have been better than their word! Hats off to all of the mechanics at Al's Kraut, the world needs more people like you!

Originally, I tripped over Al's shop in an attempt to find obsolete parts. Al spent an hour or so on the phone to locate it for me, then remembered he had one in his loft and gave it to me! Since then he has been like family, free advice, free diagnosis for my young college age nieces, whom he spoils. He's factory trained, been fixing VW's for fifty years, anything VW up to the 1986 models. Al is a mine of info. He is especially careful of his female customers cars. He has been trying to sell his shop and retire, but we, his customers, won't let him. He helps administer the Relay for Life (cancer charity)
