Mike is really a wonderful mechanic. Very honest and efficient, a completely stand up guy who does great work. A couple of years ago I took my car into an air conditioner shop because the air conditioner wasn't working. The shop had me pop the hood (car off), took one look at the compressor and gave me a $900 estimate for repair and replacement parts. I wanted a second opinion, thus I took it to Mike's. Mike kept the car over the weekend and when he called me on Sunday, explained that the air conditioner was working great and blowing cold air. I asked with trepidation, how much it was going to cost? Mike replied, "nothing, it was just a bad fuse." I just about choked. I was shocked. Mike had just saved me $900 and didn't charge me a thing. Needless to say I took my car back to Mike's any time I needed repairs or service for the past several years. He always took care of any issues and was very knowledgeable and fair. I recently moved from Orangevale to the east bay and unfortunately now have to find a closer mechanic. I truly miss being able to take my car to Mike's. Do yourself a favor and head to Mike's next time you need service or repairs, he is one in a million - literally. By the way, Mike's shop is tucked away pretty good so don't be surprised if it takes a couple of passes to find it.
