Went in with a bum transmission and a leaky oil pan gasket. Though I thought the tran was toast, they tested it at no charge just to be sure that there wasn't a cheaper repair that would do the job. (There wasn't.) They are one of the only AAA certified shops in the North County San Diego area, and have been certified for over 10 years. As such, they do an inspection of the vehicle for free (AAA requires this). They discovered that my head gaskets were leaking coolant - and showed me exactly where. Because my van has 140k miles and my budget is tight (I'm a student), they worked with me on different options to keep the costs down and even did a few extra free inspections (CV joints, axles, etc...) just to make sure that it was worth fixing the vehicle. At every step along the way, they were friendly and professional. Where labor for various tasks overlapped, there was no double billing. While sitting in the waiting room, I overheard other customers complimenting them on their fast & friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place - and even though I live 15-20 miles away, will definitely be going again when I have trouble.

We own five vehicles; this allows us to judge them on a wide variety of makes and models. The do a great job in a timely manner, but they are probably more expensive than most. They did blow the diagnosis on one of our vehicles, and it ended up costing us well more than it should have. I will continue to use them, because they are extremely close to my home, and they get it right an overwhelming majority of the time.

My car broke on Hwy 101 in the middle of a busy day. While waiting for a tow truck, a man walked over and looked my car over. He told me he could have it fixed in about an hour and a half. I took a walk to the beach; when I got back, my car was running again. I was told the coil in the distributor had stopped working. He replaced it for 86.00. That's cheaper than the tow would have been. Thanks Guys!!! I highly recommend Mastertech in Oceanside. They were honest and didn't take advantage of the fact that I was a woman or that I was stranded.

They fixed my car a couple times, affordable and fast. Did good work, and I'm happy with them. Recommend them to anyone.

They fixed my Camaro in a couple hours. The intake manifold was leaking. It now runs great, and after making a few phone calls, I found out they did the work about 120$ cheaper than the lowest estimate any of the other shops offered. (Glad I decided not to tow my car out of there.) THANKS GUYS!!!
